A 17 year old Dutch guy had an idea. Now its the biggest project in history
We were at the Maya Luna Hotel in June and stayed for three nights. The location is awesome. The beach bungalows are direct on the beach 15 meters away from the ocean. The rooms had everything we needed, although no airconditioning but it was not too hot so that was okay, too. It is a little bit out of town but with a taxi no problem! The food was really good and the stuff very nice.
We drove here based off a recommendation of a local business owner- he said the pineapple with curry shrimp and rice was amazing and we needed to try. It was! We also had the seafood soup- one of the best we’ve ever had for sure. It was surprisingly delicious! My 12 year old said it was the best of any soup he ever had in his life. It was also great to relax in the hammocks while we waited in the shade with a cool breeze.
A great place for people who love peace, quiet and direct contact with nature. The hosts, who really care about the guests feel good and who immediately fulfill every request. In addition, excellent cuisine and drinks. This is the place where you want to go back.
The property is much better than shown on photos, actually it is a beautiful bungalow right on a sandy beach. We had a really nice chat with the owner and fully appreciated that it is sourcing its energy from ecological sources. Very good breakfast as well. If you like calm places, this one will be for you.
Great food, great atmosphere, great and very hospitable staff. Off the beaten path and very secluded and private away from all the crowds! Food was amazing along with great drinks! Would recommend to anyone! Would like to stay there on a vacation in the near future! Great quaint place!
We vacation in Mahahual every year and this is by far my favorite restaurant! The food is wonderful! Try the pineapple with rice and shrimp and also the coconut shrimp soup! Also the best margaritas! The service is wonderful and the location is right on the beach. Definitely a must visit!
This gem is tucked out of the way down a bumpy beach road. It’s well worth the drive! Out of 4 cities we visited in Mexico, this restaurant was tops. The location is amazing! Right on a scenic stretch of beach where you can sit and have margaritas, and enjoy a meal from the covered patio area overlooking the ocean. Great service provided to us, too. When you’re in Majahual, go!
Stayed for a week with 2 kids who were 9 and 11. I was impressed with everything at the Maya Luna. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well as being patient with our poor Spanish. The owners were there most days and very helpful. The price is very reasonable for what you get. Accommodation on the beach with breakfast included for the entire family. The food is quite good at a reasonable rate. The best part is it is very quiet and you can get away from it all.
